SWITCHES

How can I get more out of my Ethernet network?
If you find yourself asking this question then Ethernet switching may be your answer.
An Ethernet Switch is basically a bridge that allows multiple user transmission. Fast Ethernet has
specific distance limitations that can be a problem if your network has many users. Switching
overcomes these limitations because each port in the switch acts separately from the others.
Distance calcualtions start anew at each port. Switches also work on 10 Mbps networks.
