NCI's fixed attenuators are shaped like
washers and are fitted at the light source. The mated connectors are spaced causing
attenuation.
Fixed attenuators can be placed on more than one mated location thereby increasing total
attenuation. Each colored attenuator is a different
width so each one has different dB values. The table shows typical loss but specific loss
is not set because it varies depending on different
conditions. NCI's fixed attenuators are sold individually or in packs. Packets of 5
different widths are available, so you can find out what size
you need. After you have the right width, you order just the width you need in packs or
individually.
